Shaping the future
What is this project about?
This project was created in response to the growing challenges faced by small NGOs and youth organisations, which play a crucial role in supporting vulnerable communities and empowering young people. Despite their importance, these organisations often struggle with issues like financial instability, volunteer burnout, and organisational crises, which threaten their long-term survival.“Shaping the Future: Strengthening Resilience in Youth NGOs” brings together 20 youth workers from at least 12 different organisations across Europe to share experiences, discuss common challenges, and develop practical solutions. The main goal is to equip youth workers with the skills and knowledge needed to manage internal crises, build stronger organisational structures, and advocate for better access to funding.
OBJECTIVES
Provide youth workers with tools and techniques for effective conflict resolution and crisis management within their organisations
Learn from best practices and develop strategies for building strong, sustainable organisational structures
Train youth workers on methods to diversify funds and reduce dependency on public funds.
Offer practical approaches to recruit, retain, and motivate volunteers in the actual world.
Create a dialogue between institutions, policy makers and organisations to share the experiences and challenges of NGOs and advocate for more manageable access to funding programmes.
Raise awareness of the common problems of NGOs and youth organisations and build a sense of mutual understanding that promotes networking and future collaborations among them
