The I Act handbook has been developed as part of the I Act campaign for the prevention of sexual violence using the bystander model, initiated by a team IFM-SEI volunteers and Presidium members in 2016 and supported by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe during 2017. This handbook introduces the bystander model and provides educators with tools about how to combat sexual violence in their own contexts by providing information and methods about how to educate themselves, fellow educators, children and young people. This ground-breaking resource will challenge your perception of what is sexual violence, show you how to spot acts of sexual violence and give you tools to be active bystanders to contribute towards developing organisations and societies where it is the norm to challenge acts of sexual violence together. We have acted – will you?
