International camps are a great way to connect with like-minded people from our wider IFM-SEI family. Camping co-operatively with thousands of socialists from across the world, it will be an opportunity to share personal experiences of groups and what they mean on a personal level, to a community and in wider international networks.
At the IFM-SEI Camp 2016 – ‘Welcome to another World’, there will be a dedicated area especially for the Group Matters project. At the Group Helper School – (Gruppenhelfer*Innenschule), participants can attend workshops about all aspects of group work from setting up a new local group, non-formal education methodology, the value of group work, and our socialist educational values. There will be everything from song-sharing workshops to sessions on self-organisation and group democracy.
The Group Helper School will be a source of valuable information and cover a whole spectrum of topics to suit absolutely everybody; whether you’re completely new to IFM-SEI, you want to set up a new group within your organisation, you are an experienced member or a young person who would like to become a group helper!
There will also be an information space and library to find and share resources and materials from all of IFM-SEI’s organisations.
