Want to help young people in your region in implementing local actions?
IFM-SEI is looking for young leaders that would be interested in guiding and supporting groups of youth activists from across Europe and beyond in implementing g-local campaigns.
The implementation of the g-local campaigns is the unique focus of the project. The campaigns will highlight the importance of diverse, accessible and inclusive participation opportunities on a local, national and international level.
Through implementing g-local campaigns we want to reach and engage marginalised youth and raise awareness of the barriers to long-term volunteering that young people from marginalised communities face. They will serve as a good opportunity to motivate ad support young people to take action towards widening participation, inclusion and diversity.
What are the responsibilities of a mentor?
As a mentor you will be responsible to:
- Take part in a three-day training that will provide you with necessary skills to facilitate the implementation of the campaigns (foreseen dates are 23-25 September 2021, 15.00-18.00 CET);
- Find and support a group of young activists from your organisation or local community in preparation of a campaign that will reach out to and engage marginalised youth and raise awareness of the barriers they face in long-term volunteering;
- Mentor the group in the implementation of a local campaign;
- Ensure the coordination between the IFM-SEI and the young activists;
- Prepare a follow-up and evaluation of the campaign after its completion.
Who can apply?
