Using a 10-year-old child to work is a fatality

Nowadays and in the 21st century more than 178 million children of all genders are affected by child labor, or 17% of the world's child population. Considering their vulnerabilities:

•  Regarding their statutes
•  Regarding the general irresponsibility
• Regarding injustice
•  Regarding the general recklessness
• Regarding society degree of deterioration
• Regarding the ineffectiveness of responses to the defense and protection of children's
  rights.
• Regarding the non-respect of UNCRC

Children pay at the worst price for what they have not sown. Time is no longer for punctual accusation, but how to respond more rigorously to violations of agreements and conventions
relating to children's rights. The impact of child labor on the physical, mental, health, society and the future of the child is invaluable.

IFM-SEI is an umbrella organization for and by children and young people committed to struggle for till the complete acquisition of children's rights. Today is the World Day Against Child Labour and we demand Action. Time is no longer for grand blank declarations and endless speeches. Everyone must act individually, organizationally and collectively. Every single action to free or defend children matters.

Responses given since have proven ineffective and irrelevant so we stand for :

•  Coordinated and simultaneous actions around the world are essential.
• Intense sanctions against the culprits without recourse are necessary.
•  The protection and respect of children's rights by the acceding countries are required.
•  Support for children's rights and defense organizations should be strengthened
•  The achievements in Defense and protection against child labor are to be perpetuated
•  The promotion of organizations for/by and working for children should be promoted.
•  Update informal and non-formal education policies to better occupy children
• More educational and entertainment spaces for children need to be granted

The Universal Declaration of Child Rights would only be a complete reality if all the countries, all the organizations and actors of children development commit themselves to make the rights of children a priority of the priorities.
