We are very pleased to announce that our new Project Officer will be Basak Van Hove, who has been working an an intern in the IFM-SEI Secretariat since November 2017. Basak will work three days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. You'll have the chance to meet her in person at one of our upcoming activities, at our Proud and Visible conference in Istanbul, at the Reach Out youth exchange in Barcelona in May or as part of the IFM-SEI delegation to the YO!Fest at the start of May.
A bit about Basak
I am Basak from Izmir, Turkey. I am a Ph.D. Candidate in European Studies Programme and I worked as European Union Expert at Yasar University (Izmir) on EU funded projects for five years. Before my working experience, I volunteered in AEGEE-European Students Forum at local and international levels for three years. I am very excited to be part of IFM-SEI team and I am very happy that I will have a chance to participate in and contribute to the activities and projects of IFM-SEI. As my thesis topic is relevant with NGOs’ impact on human rights, it will be very interesting for me to join the team.
You can contact Basak at basak@ifm-sei.org. We hope you'll join us in offering her a warm welcome to IFM-SEI!
