The work of the Hungarian Movement of Childfriends has been very limited since 2010, when the far-right government of Viktor Orbán came to power, but this year we became more active again.

We recently organised a successful video-making competition on how children can support other children living in poverty.

Two of our young members attended the international youth training of the International Federation of Resistance Fighters (FIR) during the month of May this year in Auschwitz. About a thousand people participated in the training.

Our current task consists of supporting refugee children arrived in Hungary and to present good examples how people can help them.
