Reach out: Bringing Global to Local Youth exchange is project for 13-18 year olds who haven’t had a change to be part of international activities. This youth exchange is outcome of IFM-SEI Reach out Working group. This youth exchange gives young people a chance to be part of international movement and to meet other youth groups from IFM-SEI European Network. The youth exchange is organised in partnership with Esplac and takes place in Barcelona between 7-13 May 2018.

In Reach out youngsters will learn about internationalism, promote the values of solidarity, diversity, internationalism, freedom and friendship. The project brings together 29 participants and 12 leaders from six IFM-SEI member organisations: Georgian Falcons, Lithuanian Young Falcon Union, Rote Falken Kinderfreunde, Slovenian Falcons, SJD-Die Falken and Nuoret Kotkat.

Aims of the project

- Educate and inform young people about internationalism and the the international movement they are part of

- Promote the core ideas of solidarity, diversity, internationalism, freedom and friendship

- Foster creativity, critical thinking and initiative in young people

- Come up with ideas about how to bring internationalism to a greater number of local kids and youth groups

- Engage young people with fewer opportunities and marginalised groups in international work

- Inspire and motivate young people to engage in international activities in the future

Youth exchange

Participants will take part in outdoor activities, simulation games, debates, role-plays and workshops to explore what is internationalism and why it's important.

Seminar will culminate on Esplaiada - a huge gathering of thousands of children and young people from Esplais Catalans. After learning new things and designing activities based on their learning in seminar, youth exchange participants will ran activities on internationalism and join workshops organised in Esplaiada- bringing global to local.

To follow the activities in Barcelona the participants will dispense what they will learn by sharing the activities in their organisations.
