We are very happy to welcome Ceci Aranda to the IFM-SEI office as our new Project Officer. Ceci will be joining the team four days a day and joins the other four secretariat members in Brussels (Carly Walker-Dawson – Secretary General, Ingrid de Kock – Officer Manager, Bet Bayó and Mie Jørgensen – volunteers). She will be supporting the office in a whole variety of ways, from delivering seminars and coordinating projects, to managing communications and keeping in touch with the membership.
Here’s a little bit from Ceci about herself…
I’m Ceci, the new IFM-SEI Project Officer. I come from Sant Cugat, a town near Barcelona and have been involved with Esplac – our organisation in Catalonia – since I was 8 years old, first as a participant and later as a group leader. When I was 16 I went to IFM-SEI’s international camp ‘Train4Chang;’ and fell in love with the international work. Since then I have been involved in the international committee of Esplac, attended many IFM-SEI seminars, organised and participated in international camps… For the last two years I was also part of the international working group of the IFM-SEI camp ‘Welcome to Another World’. I’m very happy to be now in Brussels working professionally for IFM-SEI. I can wait to get involved in all the projects and get to know all of you! I hope this experience is going to be enriching and I’m willing to contribute as much as I can to make this world a better place with IFM-SEI. I really believe international solidarity and educational projects like the ones all of our member organisations carry out year by year can make a difference. Don’t hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for help or any questions you may have. I’ll be happy to answer you. Friendship and socialism!
Ceci will be working Monday-Thursday. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with her at email@example.com if you have any questions or would like to say hello. You will also get the chance to meet her in person if you come to our I Act Training of Trainers in May, join us in Slovenia for our International Committee meeting or if you’re going to Queer Easter 2017.
Welcome Ceci – it’s great to have you as part of the team!
