What is Resist?

Resist! the Global Climate Divide investigates the systemic, decolonial and intersectional nature of the global climate crisis.

After a consultation with experts and a training of young activists, now it’s time to try out what we’ve learned within our organisation!

Help us try the activities designed and finalise the toolkit that will be published very, very soon!

Resist! The Global Climate Divide is supported by the European Youth Foundation by the Council of Europe.

Celebrate with us the World Environment Day (05/06/21) and join Resist! The Global Climate Divide!

This year, we want to celebrate this day as close to you as possible! We invite you to organise a local action in your community and share it with us and the world. IFF-SEI will support you with the implementation of these actions, both financially and with all materials and tools needed.

Do you want to know more? Read below and register here before the 23rd of May!

How can you participate?

  • Find one contact person in your organisation, who will be responsible of organising the action and communicate with IFM-SEI's Secretariat. The contact person should fill in the registration form before the 23rd of May!
  • Get the materials from IFM-SEI and prepare the action! You will get workshop proposals and other materials by email. You will also have a budget for printing and for any other cost related to the actions (Final budget will depend on the number of organisations that apply).
  • Organise a local activity on the topic around the World Environment Day: 4th to 6th of June
  • Take pictures and use the official materials and hashtags and help us create a mini campaign on social media #ResistTheGlobalClimateDivide #WorldEnvironmentDay
  • Send us all the documents for the reimbursement.

How would IFM-SEI support you?

IFM-SEI will provide all the materials and tools you may need to implement the actions, including:

  • Workshop proposals that you can easily adapt to your local context.
  • Printables with instructions for visibility: stickers, flyers, t-shirts, etc. You will receive the files to send to the printers so you can decide what to use.
  • Refund of your action. All costs related to the printing of materials, purchase or rental of costs that are used for the project can be reimbursed. The available budget will be communicated to you once we know how many organisations are going to participate.
  • Support and help from our Secretariat any time on andres@ifm-sei.org and iris@ifm-sei.org

Let’s be visible!

Most of us are still unable to travel around and meet, so let’s be visible online! With small local actions, we can create a mini social media campaign that connects us all on World Environment Day!

  1. Use the official hashtags:
    #ResistTheGlobalClimateDivide
    #WorldEnvironmentDay
  2. Tag us on social media:
    https://www.facebook.com/ifmsei
    Instagram: @ifmsei
    Twitter: @ifmsei
  3. Use the EYF and CoE logos for any extra materials you create.
